About Us

We are Amy Hinton and Andrew Mitchell

We are the owners of Three Silos.

Andrew and I met 14 years ago. I come from a farming background while he come from a sales background. After many late-night dinner discussions and realizing we were planning a life, we wondered what we could do together for a living that would also fill our souls. All he ever talked about was food... and I was passionate about growing it! So an idea was born. 

We took the idea and ran with it. We cleaned out the old dairy barn that my daddy had built in 1966 and built a commercial kitchen inside. From there we did events inside the barn and have cooked meals for thousands. We also traveled miles and miles
to festivals and events. As we were able to piece together the equipment needed to slow down life on the road, we added greenhouses and more gardens to grow fresh vegetables. Life changed a lot when we had a little boy in 2017 so we stopped the rental of the barn to dedicate our time to offsite catering, local concessions and growing vegetables. It's hard to host weddings when the barn may be filled with toys at any given time! While the greenhouses may be filled with ride on toy tractors and kiddie pools, we still manage to have fun and grow a lot of tomatoes! 

When we aren't working, our wind down time is spent working with our horses, tending to our beef cattle, or sitting on the front porch of our farm cabin... talking about food, cows and horses.... our little life that we have built.
